Home / Services / Delay Advisory for Legal and Claims Teams
Programme evidence, made legible.
Technical support to solicitors, counsel and claims teams throughout contentious matters: early appraisal of the programme evidence, technical input to document and disclosure requests, chronology development, technical issue schedules and briefs, and clear explanation of programme issues for legal teams and decision-making audiences. This is consultancy support to your team, distinct from independent expert evidence.
When this service is required
Typical situations
The delay case needs early technical appraisal
Instructing teams need a technical view of the strengths, vulnerabilities and gaps in the programme evidence before committing to a position.
Technical appraisalProgramme records need identifying and organising
The relevant native programme files and records need to be identified, requested and organised into a usable chronology.
Records & dataCounsel needs the programme issues explained
Technical briefing is needed to assist counsel in preparing questions on the delay evidence, and to make the programme issues clear at the hearing.
Hearing supportFrom early appraisal to hearing
For solicitors, counsel, in-house legal and claims consultants
Support ranges from a focused early appraisal to continuing assistance through proceedings: identifying and organising the native programme files and relevant records, providing technical input to document and disclosure requests, developing chronologies and technical issue schedules, reviewing opposing delay analysis and explaining programme issues in clear language for legal teams and decision-making audiences.
Controlled workflows support programme comparison, document organisation and chronology development, and material findings are checked against the source records.

Consultancy support, not regulated legal advice. We provide technical delay expertise to your legal team; we do not give legal advice. Where an independent delay expert is required, that is a separate appointment with an overriding duty to the forum. See expert witness services.
Q/01Do you give legal advice?
No. We provide technical programme and delay expertise to support your legal team. Legal advice and strategy remain with the solicitors and counsel instructed on the matter.
Q/02Can you also be the independent expert?
Not on the same matter. Advisory support to your team and independent expert evidence are distinct roles with different duties, and we keep them separate. We will identify at the outset which role fits the need.
